We decorated the front door, front porch and front garden. The garden was turned into a spooky graveyard, the front porch had a gigantic spider web as well as a scary ghost (which was admittedly wailing and moaning) that levetated up and sideways three feet (that one is going into the garden behind the gravestones next year - it was a bit too spooky for the smaller kids - they still got their candy though! Reportedly Theo's five year old friend Arthur screamed when he saw the ghost on our porch - his two and a half year old sister Erica was, however, not phased at all!) and the front door was covered in garbage bags with a skull with glowing eyes on it! All together the whole thing was a huge success. However, not that many kids came out that night in general. And not as many doors as usual were handing out treats. Which is too bad. But we still had tons of fun!
So much fun in fact, that Theo dragged home 'TWO' bags full of candy!!!!!!! That'll last us for the next year - we still had about a half bowl full of candy left at home also!
All in all Halloween/Samhain 2009 was a great success! Theo was the best Trick 'o Treater ever!!!!
Here are some pics to commemorate the event! :)

The graveyard.

The door while it was still light outside. I couldn't get a good picture after dark for some reason.

The ghost when it was beginning to levitate at one point.

The fantastic pumpkin Daddy carved!!!

Daddy and Theo as Darth Vader and Batman!!!!
One more thing; a friend of mine just reminded me that Samhain is on November 17th this year! So this posting really was only about Halloween! ;)
