Yes, this is a post of more Theoisms. I am continuously impressed by the things that Theo says. How insightful or descriptive he sometimes is. Or just how silly he is being. It is all fun! :)
Ok, this weekend we drove past Dow's Lake with Theo in the car. Theo basically has been waiting for winter for quite some time. So this time he took a look at the lake and informed us that the lake is still awake and that we could not go skating yet. (!!!!)
There was more, but I can't remember right now. I'll be back to add to this later when my brain recovers! ;)

A Couple of Thoughts...
Theo has an imaginary friend now. It's his baby brother who goes by the name of Spiderman! What a great imagination he has. He does a lot with his baby brother. But it does make me sad...
We took the baby gate to the basement out yesterday (incidentally, I cleaned up the basement and reclaimed it for our and the public that is our circle of friends use) - we'll be getting rid of the others in the next day or so.
We went to see Dr. Sim today. He was really happy to get a new picture of Theo! He hung it beside the one from the day Theo was born above his computer! Mrs. Sim played the giant harp again today. It sounded lovely. Theo almost threw over one of the harps she's storing in the doctor's waiting room - I managed to save the day - literally! Those things are massively expensive!
Theo came to work with me on Tuesday. He was really good over all. He had a great time in his little tent in my office, watching his dvds, checking out the remainder of ITK, hanging out with my co-workers while I had to present at our Public Health Task Group meeting. And he disconnected or turned off my computer on me 5 times!!! It was a very fun day - and no, I didn't loose anything thankfully in those 5 surprize shut downs! ;)

Last weekend Theo and I went to Cosmic Adventures on Sunday morning and on Sunday afternoon we went to an Alpaca farm with our friend Liz. It was really great, although Theo fell asleep in the car shortly before we arrived. Thankfully he woke up on time to see the Alpacas and also to lead one around (with some help)! If Theo had woken up on our way home he would have gotten so upset with us and would have made us turn around to go back for sure!!!! But he did wake up and here are the pics! :)

Theo sleeping in his stroller in front of some of the Alpacas - I would have had to use this picture as proof of having been there had he not woken up!

Liz and I.

Pretty Alpacas!

Yep, that's Theo leading that Alpaca with some assistance from the wonderful German Woofer! And yes, he is in a diaper. He had a small accident and I had forgotten to pack additional pants...oh well ;)

A very curious Alpaca! This one came really close to my camera to check it out!
That's it for now! More later or tomorrow!

Last Day at the Wading Pool, etc.
For this second posting of the day I thought I would post a few pics from our last day at the wading pool, including our traditional pic with all the life guards. Theo has known Solomon, Sarah, Katie, Brenden and Trevor pretty much since he was three months old. We immortalize the season each year by taking a picture or two. So here they are!

Theo posing with all the life guards!

Theo being chased by Sarah - having a great time!

Theo running by himself - also having a great time! :)

And again!

Hanging out with Sarah.

Taking one last dip in the wading pool.
In addition, over the summer Theo was part of two kids gymnastics classes. Here are the certificates he received at the end of each course!

And to finish things off for today, here is a water colour painting of two ponds by Theo! :)

Over and out for now.

This week's adventures!
The title of this posting is really far more adventurous than the week actually was. We had a good week despite everything really.
On Thursday of last week we got a call from Cheryl to let us know that one of the kids at daycare had hand, foot and mouth disease. This is a rather odd childrens' disease where the kids get little blisters/ulcers in their mouthes, on their hands, their feet and at times on their behinds. On Friday Theo was ok, on Saturday he was ok - a little cranky, but ok, but on Sunday he started complaining that his mouth hurt. By Sunday evening he had little blisters in both cheeks, by Monday he had some on his behind and by Tuesday he had a couple on his hands and three on one of his feet. Today is Thursday and his blisters are going away thankfully!
At the same time I came down with a flu (I started having a sore throat on Saturday) and ended up going home on Tuesday afternoon and stayed home on Wednesday. Theo went back to daycare on Wednesday so I was able to get some rest. But I did drop him off later than usual at daycare so he could sleep in and picked him up earlier so that we could have some fun together at the end of the day. And I feel better today thankfully, although I don't entirely trust the peace yet. I always get so sick - I'm a bit surprized that my cold is already calming down. But don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be feeling better and will certainly not look a gift horse in the mouth!!!
All in all the week went fine - despite the hickups experienced. ;)
