Sir Theo!

Theo has really been getting into his alternate persona of being Sir Theo. This is a by-product of watching 'Merlin', a BBC series that's been showing on CTV over the summer. Theo absolutely adores Prince Arthur Pendragon (the series is about the young Merlin and the young Prince Arthur) and loves to see the knights have sword fights or battle dragons or other monsters! The whole thing is absolutely fascinating to Theo!

I don't remember if I have written about this before, but the first time I realized the importance of all of this was when I was in the kitchen cooking one day and Theo was coming from the living room into the kitchen wacking the walls, the cupboards - anything in his way really. When I asked him to stop smacking things, he looked very upset and said to me "but I'm Sir Theo!". OMG! That was just too cute for words! So I quickly apologized to Sir Theo and asked him if he could please battle dragons in the living room. Which he happily did! :)

Since the knight in shining armour mania began we have finally managed to find a knights costume in Theo's size, a breast plate and a sword! Theo was totally thrilled! The costume also came with a plastic cape, but I made another gold coloured fabric cape for him that he absolutely loves! I'm getting good at making capes. So far I've made a superhero cape and a knights cape for him! :) Here is a picture of Sir Theo (minus the breast plate and the helmet, but with the cape I made and a crown).



Theo's other alternate personas are Spiderman (a definite favourite and last year's Halloween costume) and Batman (this year's Halloween Costume)!!!


Yes, Theo is in fact brandishing a sword and a light saber while wearing his batman outfit!

Oh, and Sir Theo's current running shoe size is kids size 10 - and in boots he wears kids size 11!!!!
