Samhain/Halloween!

Oh my goodness we had fun! It was absolutely amazing! I think that the entire day was a party for you Theo! You even napped holding your costume at daycare! I thought that was too cute!

This Halloween (the day we have fun and go trick 'o treatin') was a blast. You dressed up as Spiderman and loved every minute of it! We were asked to bring your costume along to daycare. You had it held up in front of your face for pretty much the entire ride to Cheryl's place in the morning. I kept hearing this like 'super' and 'cool' and 'spiderman' from you in the back! I took a picture of you over my shoulder while this was going on! :)

During the day we had a costume competition at work. I dressed up as Darth Vader - yes, a short Darth Vader, but definitely as Darth Vader. At first people had a really hard time figuring out who I was under my costume - but then one of my coworkers gave out the cabbing/transport list to go to the pizza restaurant and I was done in. I was one of the people giving rides so I had to give up on my diguise. :) Sadly no picture was taken of me during the day, but I took one of myself the way I was dressed for answering the door at night.

In the evening you went trick 'o treatin' with your dad and had a great time! You two were gone for well over an hour! I stayed home to greet the kids and that was fun too!

(Theo being super excited about getting dressed to go trick 'o treatin'. The expression on his face also reminded me of Japanese cartoons! *grins)

(Theo - ready to go!)

(Posing for the camera with Daddy!)

Your daddy told me that you found the pumpkins on people's front porch scary. I don't blame you. They can be pretty scary.

(Our pumkin - Theo wasn't scared of this one)

But from the sounds of it all you had a wonderful time and came home with a huge bag of treats (which we will have to hide and give bits out to you every day or two or three *grins*).

This year lots of kids showed up - which was great as I really had some fun decorating our front yard!

I think that it looked pretty cool and spooky. You wholeheartedly agreed Theo!

*******
On a side note and in terms of Samhain; I didn't get to do anything about that this year as the ritual would have had to start pretty late in order to accommodate the kids part of the day with the ritual part. I did my own little thing. But to be honest - Theo is only going to need us and want us to do these types of things (going out for Halloween with him, etc.) with him for a finite amount of time. In that time Theo takes precedence. Everything else will follow again in good time... :)

Happy New Year everyone!!!
