Today was a calm day. Theo has been a little sick for the past week. Unhappy #2s is all I'm going to say. Anyway, today he had to stay home again and I'm glad. He woke up at about 7 am this morning, fell back asleep, woke up again around 9 am, fell asleep again, and woke up at about 9:50 am - but only because he fell out of our bed. Which he didn't even really notice. I heard a bit of a thunk while I was in the kitchen and went upstairs to check. I found Theo with his upper body on the bed and his legs dangling over the edge. He wasn't bothering with his legs since his upper body was happy and his head was on a pile of duvet, which was soft and fluffy. :)
This afternoon we went for a walk and looked at the tractors on Third Ave. It was very exciting for Theo - there were four tractors, one huge truck, one roller and...another tractor around the corner. The only disappointing thing was that no one would let him have a ride. Better luck next time!!!!!
This evening we went for another walk. First we dropped by the hockey rink - but we didn't know anyone there, so we didn't stay (Loup was tied up outside with the tricycle). Then we went to the park and Theo got to go on the swing for a while. After that we went home and played in the leaves. I was raking them up a bit as Theo's idea of helping was to take the rake and pull the pile Jamie had made apart. He had a great time 'helping'!!! :)
Right now Theo is outside with Jamie again - playing in the leaves. Yes, it's nearly 8:30 pm - I know. It's late. I'm about to ask the two of them to come inside and that it's bed time for Theo.
Finally - our latest challenge these days is for Theo to listen to me. I ask him to do something or not to do something and he at times just completely ignores me. Don't get me wrong - Theo is a fantastic, fun, charming, wonderful and good little boy - but this is about pushing boundaries. It has begun! A while ago really, but the contest is intensifying a little bit! :)
