What Happened this Week...

This week was largely uneventful. Jamie was traveling again, but Theo and I managed quite well. We both missed Jamie...but we're getting used to the routine of handling things ourselves while Jamie is gone. And also there is the fact that we get to pick up Daddy from the airport, which is what Theo just loves. We always try to make sure that Theo gets to see airplanes land and take off from one of the windows - the best place is just past the restaurants on the third floor!

Cheryl and I also went to a concert this week! Cheryl came with me as Jamie was not going to be back in time. We had an amazing time! Apocalyptica was playing at the new Capital Music Hall here in Ottawa! It was an absolutely amazing show!!!!! Here is a picure I took with my cell phone camera at the show.

(The band during the show. It's too bad that my cell camera doesn't zoom in so that the picture could have been a bit better!)

I wish I could see them again when I go to Vancouver in October, but it won't work out. I'm due to head back to Ottawa on the 23rd and the show isn't until the 26th.

Anyway, Cheryl and I had a great time at the show. We even got our CD's autographed by almost the entire band. The only one who didn't sign was Antero Manninen. He never came out of the tour bus at the end. But that's ok.

(The seats the band use during the show - taken after the show when we were waiting to see if they would come out again to autograph our CDs.)

Here is also a video of one of my favourite song of theirs called 'Hall of the Mountain King'. It's an old song - a classical song - Apocalyptica style. :)

Closer to home the other good news is that Ashley can babysit again, which is great! She looked after Theo the night of the Apocalyptica concert as well as for a couple of hours on Thursday. Theo just loves her and had a great time!!!! Although Theo loves Cheryl more!!! :)

We also went to my friend Donna's daughter's second birthday party this past Sunday. We had lots of fun there although for a little while Theo was having a difficult time sharing with M and G. But once he got used to things all three of them had fun! In addition to all the other kids!

(Theo at the party with his leaf crown on. He looked so cute!!!)

Lisa was there also with her two kids. It was really nice to see everyone! The kids are growing up so fast and we don't see eachother nearly enough anymore. In some cases the kids don't even recognize eachother any more. It really is too bad, but that is life I guess.

Unfortunately Theo is sick with a bit of a chest cold today. Poor little guy! Jamie is home with him today.
