Theo is 4 Years Old!!!

On May 4th Theo turned 4! He is a big boy now! But he thought that by the time he turned 4, that he would be as tall as me! LOL! I told him that he would probably be that tall by the time he was 6 or 7 years old! :)

Anyway, we held Theo's party on May 2nd, as the only other option was Mother's day and Jamie and I didn't think that anyone, or only a few people would be able to come at that time.So May 2nd it was! And it was a great day!

We started the day off with sleeping in, then we had a late breakfast (and an even later lunch), then we went to Theo's soccer class, and then the party started at 3 pm! 14 kids (plus parental units) showed up and everyone had a great time! The handler/teacher sent by Little Ray's Reptiles was outstanding! She showed the kids very cool animals (a treefrog, a monitor lizard, another lizard whose name I forgot, a tarantula [even I held it, and that's saying somehting!], a King snake, a Burmese Python, a turtle, a scorpion and a Caiman), while teaching them about their habits/dos/don'ts - effectively taking the fear out of the kids that would otherwise have been scared and making it even more interesting for those that had no fear! Theo was in the latter category and thoroughly enjoyed himself! He absolutely loved every one of the animals, but especially loved the king snake, the 10 foot (!!!) Burmese Python, and the Caiman!

Here are some pictures from the big event!

Theo assisting Meghan from Little Ray's Reptiles (she was awesome with the kids!) with his hands-down favourite of the day - the Caiman/alligator!

Theo's fabulous Batman cake!

Jamie was out of town the morning of May 4th, but that was ok. I gave Theo one of his presents in the morning, which was a huge hit (a Batman helicopter and Robin submersible toy) and Jamie gave him his other gift (a little boat that he can play with at the lake at the cottage, and a kite) in the evening when he returned! We also had a cake (this time it was a Thomas the Tank Engine cake) for him after dinner when Jamie's parents came over!

Theo's Thomas the Tank Engine Cake (it was a little less than half the size of the Batman cake - perfect for 5 people)!

Theo posing with his cake!

Theo definitely had a lovely time celebrating his birthday!

What a big boy he is now! I can't believe how fast time has gone by!!!
