Theo had a great day today! And yesterday too. I haven't written anything in about a month, so I though I would get started tonight and work on my next entry tomorrow. Ok, here goes. Yesterday Theo came home telling me about how one of our daycare provider's boys had played with or had a toy gun/water gun and how he had told this boy off saying that his mommy doesn't like guns, that guns hurt and that he (Theo) didn't like guns either!!! I guess he has been listening! :) I was pretty surprized about his story though!
What have we been up to over the past month or so? We have gone to visit with Grandma and Grandpa, visited with Oma and Opa in Peterborough (he loves visiting them, going to the zoo there and he also LOVES riding the little train they have at the Peterborough Zoo!!!), gone to the beach, hung out/played with friends that live on our street, gone on lots of walks with Loup the dog, played lots, and rented movies together.

Oma and me!

Theo happily sitting on the tank engine part of the train!
I went to Happy Valley-Goose Bay from June 16-18 for work, which turned out to be a fantastic trip. I absolutely loved it there! I usually visit during the winter - the summer is totally different, although I always have fun visiting with my friends once the work part of the trip is over. Here are some pics from that trip!

Me at the airport when we arrived.

John Goudy's wood pile believe it or not!

The beach in Northwest River.

The view on the way back to Ataomie's place from sightseeing in Northwest River (I was in the back of my friend Ataomie's truck).

At the dock in Goose Bay.

Friends and co-workers!
Jamie has also been traveling. Last week Jamie was in Kenya and for the next 10 days or so he is in Equador. Theo has been getting used to one or the other of us traveling. It's always hard - both on the parent that's away and on Theo. While Theo and I have been on our own we have done lots of things together and had lots of fun. Which has been great. Although we both miss Jamie so much. What Theo and I have started to do when Theo is just missing his daddy too much is to call Jamie's cell phone so that Theo can hear his daddy's voice and leave him a message. It always makes him feel better!
So what's in the plans for this week? Well, tomorrow is Canada Day. So we'll go to the wading pool in the morning, check out the buskers, have lunch while out and about, have nap time at home and possibly go to a friend's kid friendly bbq and watch the fireworks from there! I'll be a full and fun filled day! I don't know how far we will get with whichever portion of the plans. We'll just play it by ear! Other than that I was thinking of taking Theo for his first big boy movie on Sunday! Should be great fun - the next in the series of the Ice Age movies is coming out this week. Theo is pretty excited, that's for sure!
About my trip to Happy Valley-Goose Bay and other activities over the past month; I'll post the pics in the next few days...whenever I have the time to upload them.
Over and out for now. Goodnight sweet Theo. I hope that you're having wonderful dreams!
