We went to visit my parents from December 26th to December 28th and it was great fun! Especially Theo had a blast! When we arrived he ran to their door and announced that he was back! Which elicited much laughter from everyone! We had a lovely gift exchange with them also and a lovely dinner. My mom cooked a rabbit which, to my surprize, Theo just loved! Go figure! Some things he will flat out refuse, and others he will eat immediately with no particular reason for either decision. But that's just fine. He's experimenting with everything, including his taste buds.
While in Peterborough Theo played and played and played with Oma and Opa, went shopping with us (actually, he fell asleep within minutes of getting into the car and then slept in his stroller for the entire shopping experience), and came to the flea market in Lakefield with us. I didn't find anything particularly interesting there this time, but I did pick up two video tapes for Theo.
I also managed to visit with my friend Connie. We had not seen each other since highschool. It was really great to see her. She is pretty amazing and has done so much in her life. I really admire her. She has done everything from being an actress to bodywork on cars, to studying gemology, to being a fantastic mom of two! I'm really glad that we managed to visit and catch up again. Hopefully she'll visit us some time soon!
It was quite nice to visit my parents. Since we've had Theo all the stress is pretty much gone. It's basically just nice to be there! And they have so much fun with Theo and he with them! Theo can't wait to go back again! Unfortunately they'll both be abroad as of January 29th. Hopefully they'll be back in Canada soon and will hopefully also be able to move closer to us at that time.
